First time home buyer/single mother…needs help!?

I am 28 years ancient. I am a single mother. I live in Ohio. My credit score isnt the best but I am paying off all my credit cards by September. I am waiting on my Lawyer for a settlement from the state for victims of crime. I want to place a down payment on a loan. But I am unsure of a lot of things. What minimum credit score do you have to have to get a loan? Should I keep my 2 credit cards open? The only other thing I have is a bankruptcy from 2007 and school loans…b/c I am a current student. I am looking for a house less than 100,000…the cheaper the better. I make right now, ,700/yr. I do have more income from my fiance…but he is laid off at this point and I want to try on my own. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or know of the FHA qualifications?
