How long do you have to wait before you can sell a home that you purchased with a FHA loan?

My husband and I recently bought a home with an FHA loan. Although we delight in the home, it is not exactly what we were expecting, we probably rushed into the decison a small quicker than we should have. We are wanting to sell the home and go with our original plot. Is their a waiting period between buying and selling a home that you bought with a fha loan?

There is no waiting period. There is no prepayment penalty if that is what you were thinking. I don’t know how long you have been in the home, but it may be a small early trying to sell if you just bought it no too long ago. Excellent luck trying to sell!

As far as I know there is no waiting period, but all of that should be spelled out in your mortgage. If you have any questions about that, I would recommend that you contact the mortgage agent or bank agent that you worked with when you obtained that mortgage.

If you would visit hr.services@yahoo.com and talk to someone about a small sell and I am positive that a counselor there can help you.

NO waiting period you can sell at any time with no penalty to you.

There may be a seasoning issue for your buyer who tries to get financing. Some lenders have tightened their criteria with regard to buying flipped homes.

There shouldn’t be any waiting period to sell your home although this probably isn’t the best time to sell. There’s a excellent mortgage company that specializes in FHA Loans and I’m sure they’d be pleased to answer any of your questions, even if you don’t use them. The name is American Financial Resources, Inc. and the website is: http://www.afronline.com.

    Best of luck!
