How long do you think the wait would be for HUD for a disabled person?

My brother has a mental problem and we are setting him up with hud they said the regular waiting list is 18 months but considering he is distabled it could be earlier so how many of you know how long for him it might be if you have a family member or something that is on it

IT CAN TAKE UP SEVERAL MONTHS AND EVEN INTO YEARS FOR HIM TO GET A PLACE ..HE SHOULD QUALIFY FOR A TOWN HOUSE AND OR HIGH RISE !
