i am buying a hud home, i am told i should buy the title insurance in case something comes up later on house?

i thought thats why you have a title search, makes no sense to me to have title insurance, should go back on them not me in case they miss something, so is this something i should really place money out for ?

    Title insurance is a excellent investment no matter what. You dont want to be liable for some mess up that happened in the past.
