I am renting my house to a section 8 family and my property manager said Hud needs a copy of my social securit?

they need a copy of my social security card and drivers license…why is this?

      They are making sure you not only really own the property, but that you are paying your income tax on the property as well. HUD also does not want you foreclosing on their voucher family. They do not like them to go more then once a year.
