I think it would be illegal to discriminate and only raise the rent on the section 8 units. The increased rent is likely due to incresed expenses, not to make you "suffer". The landlord needs to pay the bills, it really is that simple. Child suppport is included because that is what it is for. To support children and provide a roof over their head. Single parents may not qualify for housing for their children if the support was not included. Some mothers simply do not earn enough with one income to feed and house their kids.
