should i purchase a HUD home.?

i have started receiving 8 a month from social security disability. i am 43 and have no credit.
i will be receiving about 00 back check in a couple of weeks. i was hoping to be able to buy a HUD home. my research shows if i can get approved it would be for about a 000 home with about 0 a month payment. i have no monthly bills.
if i can get approved should i go this route? this is the one time in my life i will have the money for a down payment. should i go this route? i could also buy a 00 mobile home for cash and pay lot rent. please point me in the right direction.

i mean as a financial choice. is it a financialy excellent thought with the economy failing.
