Friday, October 23rd, 2009My real estate guy place in a small below asking price for the current house I’m trying for. My mortgage guys FHA appraiser, appraised thousands, below. The sellers real estate person place the price way above value? Who is at fault if I don’t get this house? Do I have any recourse as a buyer?
I am the buyer and, my mortgages FHA appraiser appraised the home extremely lower than the asking price. The sellers asking price was extremely overpriced. My realator after I already place in the offer and, the FHA appraisal came back told me he thought it would come in extremely lower.
With FHA you can only buy the house for what it appraises for by, the FHA appraiser. I am alittle lower income than middle class and, I’ve had my job for years. And, unfortunatly because I am lowing income, all I can go for is FHA! This whole thing is reall starting to depress me!
I am approved up to what we offered but, the house was appraised at a lower value!

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009I was approved for a conventional loan and had that in line for the past few weeks. But, on Thursday, I was informed that I was declined by the mortgage insurance company. My credit history is completely fouled by another person with my name (70k in debt and a tax lein from accounts that were opened before I was born). Despite the lender being satisfied with clearing up the discrepencies, the insurer will not accept the corrections and that loan fell through. So on friday, my broker started working on switching to FHA. My settlement is Thursday, Monday is a holiday, the FHA appraiser is coming on Tuesday. My broker tells me I have nothing to worry about, but is it even possible to get the FHA loan straigtened out in time for Thursday? I feel like I’m about to lose my dream house and my EMD (and my mind).
Let me reiterate that the FHA appraiser is already scheduled to come out on Tuesday.

Sunday, October 18th, 2009I’ve tried to buy a property before and, had to pay out of my pocket for the FHA appraiser and, didn’t get the house because of the appraisal. I was told the money was non refundable. Now I’m having to do the same for another house. It cost 0. each time.
