I filed for the 00 tax credit and my taxes are due to me on Feb 13th. My total refund was over ,000. My sister had claimed the reund also and was do to have her money on Jan 30th. She never got it and was told by the IRS that it was because of the homebuyer credit that it was delayed. I have read of so many people on here being delayed. So I called the IRS to question if all the homebuyer credits were being delayed or just some of them. She told me it was all of them and that if your refund was over ,000 you couldn’t get a direct deposit you could only have a check mailed to you. She also said that if you have a FHA or a HUD loan that you didn’t qualify. After I got off the phone I starting wondering if USDA would qaulify since thats who me and my sister got our loans through. USDA said we don’t use the tax exempt bonds and we should qualify but I am still nervous. Does anyone know anything about this for sure?
