Will my terrible credit prevent my wife from qualifying for an FHA loan?
We got married a small more than a year ago. I had problems with my credit while attending to college with a recent FICO score in the 520s. My wife has the desire to buy a house and we have sufficient income, enough savings for a down payment and my wife’s excellent credit. We are looking to be approved for an FHA loan and I’ve heard that they check both of our credit. Is there any way my wife can qualify on her own? what are our options?
